Updated: November 1, 2026. Compiled by Cole Ashby, updated monthly.

From October 1 through October 30, 2026, RIAA dated 63 hip-hop and R&B certifications: 13 Gold, 21 Platinum and 29 Multi-Platinum, five of those at Diamond. Fifty-four are singles and nine are albums. Drake owns the month with 30 plaques on October 23, four at Diamond, but the record worth sitting with is a 2002 Nas album cut that took until October 2026 to cross Gold. My pick of the month is Chance the Rapper's two "Blessings." The best late arrival is Playboi Carti's "Magnolia," which went from 3X to 8X Platinum in one day.

Every entry links to its row in the RIAA Gold & Platinum database. Sections run newest first, each led by the artist's headline plaque.

BashfortheWorld

RIAA lists his label as 10K Projects, and 10K Projects calls him "a Dallas based rapper known for his smooth melodies and laid-back delivery." The Dallas Observer ranked him second in Dallas-Fort Worth in December 2025.

Playboi Carti

RIAA's timeline had "Magnolia" at 3X Platinum since July 31, 2019, then logged 4X, 7X and 8X on October 28: five levels in one day, after seven years without a new plaque. Sprite named it among the tracks on its limited-edition cans, slated for shelves from July through September 2026, per Beverage Industry. Of every row RIAA dated after October 23, this is the one that says the most.
