Computerwife Shares the "Hammered" Video Ahead of Born from a Wish

What's out
Computerwife, the project of NYC musician Addie Warncke, shared the video for "Hammered" on November 2, 2026. The Terrorbird release calls it "a final preview" of her new album, Born from a Wish, out via Danger Collective. Apple Music dates the album Friday, November 6, 2026, with "℗ 2026 Computerwife under exclusive license to Danger Collective."
Warncke said in a statement: "I made this in 2023. The song was originally self-deprecating towards my own confusion in life and then changed when I noticed some people around me starting to shift their personalities to fit into different social environments. It really annoyed and disappointed me, probably because I felt so lost myself. It's not something you can really address outwardly so it ended up all becoming one song instead."

The road to the album
Per the release, Born from a Wish is her first release since her 2023 self-titled LP, and it follows a July tour with Feeble Little Horse. "Hammered" joins the singles "Nobody", "Foreverrr" and "You Didn't Know".
Warncke was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to New York in 2018 to study at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, per the release. Ethan Williams of the Brooklyn indie band shower curtain produced the album. The release calls it "an indie-rock record" and "fundamentally a rock record with shape and body."
Looking back on the songs, Warncke said: "I can hear all these different thoughts I had in little moments. It feels like small pieces of what I was going through. I sound so much younger, and definitely more lost."

My read
Warncke's own framing is the hook here: a song she started about herself that turned outward. Calling the album "more lost" than where she is now is an honest way to hand over a record she has already moved past. For more indie on KAZI, read about New Constellations' "Evergreen" video and Bleech 9:3's cover of The Cure's "Lullaby".
Verdict: "Hammered" is a sharp last look before Born from a Wish lands on November 6, the same night she plays Warsaw in Brooklyn.
