The details

The CATALOG LA Record Label Fair is on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM at Revenge Of, 3420 Eagle Rock Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90065. Entry is free with RSVP on Hologram Opera's event page, which says the fair "takes place in the lot and warehouse at Revenge Of in Glassell Park."

Per the Force Field PR release: "Catalog LA is a record label fair featuring LA-based indie labels, hosted at Revenge Of, a comic book store on Eagle Rock Blvd. Now back for its second year on Nov. 8, the day is free to attend with RSVP and open to the public. The event is created and produced by indie label Hologram Opera and presented by KCRW and Synth History." It adds: "This event is FREE / ALL AGES and open to the community!" The first edition ran November 9, 2025, at the same store.

The labels

The release flyer lists 24 labels: Stones Throw, Jazz Is Dead, Final Girl Records, Naya Beat, In Sheep's Clothing, Fellowship Records, Channel 9 Records, Dome of Doom, Lauren Records, Dum Dum Zine & Records, Listening Position, ZUM, DAIS, Discostan, Temporal Drift, AKP Recordings, Friends of Friends, Post Present Medium, Forager Records, Black Editions, Slouch Records, Eye Vybe Records, Discos Darks and Hologram Opera. The event page also lists Leaving Records.

Per the release, Hologram Opera is "an independent LA based record label established in 2025 releasing tunes in the world of electronic, synth, and immersive." It is run by Morgane Lhote, Krissy Barker and dl Salo. Lhote, as Hologram Teen, DJs at 3 PM.

Panels and DJ sets

The schedule puts the panels in the warehouse. At 1 PM, "For artists: How to get your music heard" has Francesca Harding of KCRW, Marina Aguerre of The Witching Hours and Dublab, and George Chen of ZUM. At 2 PM, "Tips for Starting a Record Label" has Arshia Haq of Discostan, Patrick McCarthy of Temporal Drift and Paul Preston of Brainfeeder. "Tour Stories" at 3 PM brings Patty Schemel, Dean Wareham and Brontez Purnell. At 4 PM, Synth History talks with Black Marble. A quadraphonic vinyl playback of CIANI/ORKEST by Suzanne Ciani and Metropole Orkest plays one side at half past each hour from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

The DJ schedule starts with Carlos Niño at noon. Jazmin Hicks of Jazz Is Dead plays at 1 PM and DJV of Stones Throw at 4 PM. The day is also the release party for Synth History Issue Six, which the event page says features RZA and Flying Lotus. Add a raffle, an "Ask An Expert" booth, And Destroy coffee, and comics and pinball inside.

My read

I think a label fair is the best case for crate digging. A store sorts records by genre. A label table sorts them by taste, and the person behind it often helped make the record. The event page says Hologram Opera is "dedicated to keeping Catalog LA completely free for vendors and the public!" That lowers the bar for the smallest labels on the list.

Labels still put records in front of people: Chastity Belt shared its new single on Suicide Squeeze Records' YouTube channel. Some bands do the studio work themselves and keep a label anyway: Party Dozen recorded, mixed and mastered 21 Bum Salute themselves, and City Slang is putting it out. The 1 PM and 2 PM panels speak to both.

For KAZI readers, my pick is the overlap: Stones Throw, Jazz Is Dead and Dome of Doom on the floor, Brainfeeder's Paul Preston on the label panel and RZA in the new Synth History issue.
