Prong Share New Single "New Commission" Ahead of Self-Titled Album

The single
Prong have a new single, "New Commission," and its video is up on Napalm Records' YouTube channel. Atom Splitter PR's release calls the band "New York's alternative metal legends" and the song "a cataclysmic thrash rager," one "Built upon machine-gun kicks, discordant riffage, and frontman Tommy Victor's venomous barks."
Prong: "New Commission" (Official Static Video)
Victor, whom the release names as the band's "Iconic vocalist and guitarist," put it this way in a statement: "This is a barn burner, banger thrasher of a song with a huge hook and a ferocious breakdown. It's got it all!"
The album
The single comes from Prong, the band's self-titled album, which Apple Music lists for November 6, 2026, with a ℗ 2026 Napalm Records Handels GmbH line. The release calls it "their triumphant Napalm Records debut." Apple dates the band's live album Live And Uncleansed (Live) to March 6, 2026, under a ℗ 2026 Steamhammer line, so the label move is recent.
The release states the credit plainly: the album was "Mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap." That is the only studio credit it prints, and it names no producer and no other members beyond Victor.
Per the release, "The Banner" opens the record, "New Commission" follows it, and "Our Continuance" closes the main sequence. The same release says "The Uprising" "reintroduces the band's industrial edge" and pairs "Fear The Sun" with the phrase "inciting classic New York Hardcore pit violence." Apple's page lists 13 songs and files the album under Metal. The release says the CD adds two bonus tracks, "Out of Body" and "Cruel Summer," the second "a cover of the Bananarama classic."
The release lists a Black LP, an Inkspot Cristallo/Red LP, a White Label LP, a CD Digisleeve and a digital album, plus LP and CD bundles with a T-shirt. Napalm Records USA has the vinyl and shirt up for pre-order.
On the road
The release lists the Prong Uprising: Euro Tour 2026 as nine dates, opening November 13 at Level in Rheine, Germany, and closing November 22 at Gazarte in Athens, Greece, with tickets through the band's tour page.
My read
Victor's quote is the most useful line in the whole rollout, because it tells you exactly what he thinks the song is for: a hook and a breakdown. Sneap's name on both the mix and the master is the credit I'd circle. Like Dethwish's Ruby, this is a new album and a tour arriving as one push. The video is where you judge whether the hook earns the claim.
