Anno 117 heads to Aegyptus

Anno 117: Pax Romana has a new province to build around. Dawn of the Delta, released on November 5, 2026, introduces Aegyptus with new production chains, goods, deities and characters. Ubisoft describes it as the third and largest expansion in the game's first year of content.

The expansion is available worldwide on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. On PC, Ubisoft lists the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store, with availability also through a Ubisoft+ subscription. The publisher's Dawn of the Delta overview accompanies the release.

What the new province changes

Aegyptus is the central addition, not just a different backdrop for an unchanged city. New goods and production chains expand what players can build their economy around, while deities and characters add to the province's identity. Those are the concrete additions confirmed in Ubisoft's launch announcement; it does not supply an exhaustive systems breakdown.

The distinction matters in a city-builder. A new province needs to offer reasons to rethink production and governance, not simply another patch of land to fill. Dawn of the Delta's announced package puts those systems at the center of its pitch. Whether their balance holds over a long save is a question for hands-on play, not something a trailer can settle.

Ubisoft Mainz develops Anno 117: Pax Romana. The base game links city planning with governing choices, making the shape of a settlement part of how a province develops. More information about the game is available through the official Anno Union site.

Free weekend runs through November 9

For readers who have not started the base game, Ubisoft's November 5 announcement sets a free weekend on PlayStation, Xbox and Ubisoft Connect through November 9, 2026. That window is still ongoing at this article's November 7 publication. It is a base-game trial, not an announcement that Dawn of the Delta itself is free.

The same announcement advertises a limited-time discount of up to 40 percent on Anno 117: Pax Romana. Platform pricing and the offer's availability should be checked before buying; the alert does not give a universal price or a separate sale end date.

A new province is the draw

The free weekend makes this a useful moment to try Anno's underlying loop. For existing players, the more durable question is what Aegyptus adds to an established empire. New production chains are a clearer reason to reopen a city-builder than a vague promise of more content. That is the part of Dawn of the Delta worth watching beyond its launch promotion.
