After recently achieving his first #1 record on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for, “Rockstar”, DaBaby teams up with UK hip-hop duo, Young T & Bugesy on the remix of their viral TikTok challenge, “Don’t Rush” from their debut mixtape, Plead The 5th. The track was originally released last November and popularized in April by a group of students from Hull with the #DontRushChallenge. The sound garnered over 600 million video renditions including ones by Queen Naija, Bruno Mars, B. Simone, Christina Millian, and the former cast of Orange Is The New Black. The song’s success made Young T & Bugsey the first UK rap duo to ever chart on the U.S ‘Hot 100’ Billboard Chart (peaking at number 79) and chart in the Top 100 in 30 other countries.
Regarding the collaboration, the duo had this to state:
“Getting DaBaby on the remix was proper sick. It was good to know his team were fans of the song from even before he jumped on it. He done his verse super quick and it was hard! Can’t wait for everyone to hear it now”.
