Hailing from Sacramento, R&B singer-songwriter Yelly is making major waves with her latest release. “Confide” is an emotional ballad that finds the artist getting real about relationships, particularly letting go of unnecessary weight. It’s Yelly’s first official record of the year, serving as a follow-up to January’s “Bedroom Freestyle.” Furthermore, she recently featured on Marmar Oso’s “Ride or Die” weeks back.
“You know you be lying, acting like you trying / You know I got issues, now you got me crying,” she opens the song. Elsewhere, Yelly gracefully sings “I said fuck ’em, I said fuck ’em / Wish ’em well then you duck ’em.
Last year, Yelly treated fans alike to her debut EP, Don’t Drown. The 5-track effort displayed an array of emotions as Yelly shows off her haunting vocals throughout the project. The Sacramento singer is expected to drop another project before the year is up, but in the meantime, stream “Confide” below.
