There are signs of affection, confusion, intimacy and conflict all throughout this video for “Know You” by none other than Cleveland’s own Charles Vern. The dual-threat combines melody and flows to repeatedly let his lady he knows that he knows her well, despite all they all enduring.
It’s a sharp visual, featuring direction by Hustlecake LLC‘s Alex Dimarco and production from Evan Shadley. It vividly conveys the internal turmoil Vern endures and capturing the beauty of his fair maiden. Given that level of pulchritude, it’s understandable why strenuous situations between the two appear especially severe. Simultaneously, they experience high highs and puppy dog love. You get both sides, and the 23-year-old’s lyric only punctuate the message. Love is dope but it hurts too.
Vern is coming off of the January release of his project Pilot: The EP. Surely, one to keep an eye out for in the R&B game. We love the attention to detail in the visuals. Check out “Know You” above.
