Tsu Surf returns with new heat with his new project, “Seven 25.”
Tsu Surf has made quite the name for himself and should be on your radar in 2019. He has quickly established himself as one of the best up and coming rappers out of Newark, New Jersey. Now, he is back with his first new offering of the year, titled “Seven 25.”
Let’s get straight to it, right from the start Surf carries himself with confidence and unleashes hard-hitting bars in the intro track Here’s Whatever. The track is gushing with details about Surf’s experiences and tales from the streets. After this intro track, the whole project is filled with Surf’s versatile flow and lyrical ability at a new level. This isn’t a project that is just for radio, this is the perfect music to go alongside a workout in the gym or listen to when you really have to focus on yourself.
The project has a good amount of collaboration from Beanie Sigel, Mozzy, and a few more artists. The number one element that stands out about this project is the blend of brutalism in the flow and storytelling. Surf provides his fans with good quality music that expresses his thoughts on the stories of his past. He isn’t wasting any time on this project. I was eager to hear his tracks and was caught by surprise because he delivers exactly what fans want on this project. The project is packed with bars and no mumble rap. Finally, something that isn’t mumbled rap!
This project is a classic of the genre for hip-hop. It has a mixture of darkness and light. There is no shortage of bangers and bars throughout it. It’s hard to resist the allure of each tracks production. Each track’s instrumental goes perfectly alongside Surf’s flow and mindset. Without a doubt, this project is what separates Surf from other artists that are emerging. This will be a piece of history for Tristate hip-hop classics, and if you really want to see Surf in his bag, this showcases his star pedigree like no other.
