Trap Dance Hall Kings, The Yutes & Masicka – Get Money (Official Video)

If you like hip-hop or dancehall music, I recommend checking out “Get Money” by “The Yutes” and “Masicka.”

Listen to the song and see the official music video on this page.

The song begins with a tremendously catchy pace and tune that immediately captures the listener’s attention. As soon as the chorus begins, it is evident that this will be a worldwide success!

Masicka is singing the chorus, and he knows how to craft words that will get stuck in your brain! The intro/chorus is followed by the first verse, a wonderful blend of hip-hop and reggae and highlights The Yutes’ skills and aptitude. The chorus comes after the verse.

Masicka does the following verse, and he is a great storyteller and a genuinely generational talent who understands what he is doing, as he can sing the chorus and rap throughout the verse flawlessly. The Yutes brothers appear again in the next stanza, and the more I listen to it, the better it becomes.

These musicians’ flexibility stands out here, as they seamlessly blend trap hip-hop and dancehall. They managed to produce a unique work of art that stands out from the crowd. These guys are true trap dancehall pioneers!

The song was produced by Grammy-winning producer Teflon, which means everything is perfectly balanced and a joy to listen to. The rhythm is incredibly thick, the bass line is deadly, and the synth melody complements The Yutes and Masicka’s vocals.

The mixing and mastering are flawless. But it doesn’t stop there! The song is incredible, and there is also an official music video on Masicka’s YouTube account (see above). Shane Creative directed the video, and I highly suggest seeing it and listening to the music.

The music complements the graphics brilliantly, and the whole thing is a timeless work of art that audiences will cherish for decades to come! The music video’s creative directors, Chuck Wilson and Domingo Neris, should also be recognized.

The Yutes (Jamaican Patois Slang for “The Youth”), a brother duo composed of Chris and Tris, burst onto the scene in 2017 with a song called “Trap Don Dadas.” The song combined one’s Jamaican heritage with modern trap elements, solidifying them as pioneers of a dynamic sound that we are now known as Trap Dancehall.

The Yutes, the sons of dancehall superstar Mr. Lexx, use an unprecedented authenticity and heightened musical awareness to push the creative edge, gaining the notice of their current label Babygrande Records.

The Jamaican style-benders’ distinct talent garnered them many awards, including a spot on A3C Volume 7 with “Trap Don Dadas” and a show-stealing SXSW performance with J.I.D., DaBaby, and others. The Yutes’ released the “Bring It Back” single in 2020, which soon surpassed one million Spotify streams.

The Yutes opened out 2021 with the Curren$y-assisted “High Grade” collaboration, then unleashed the entrancing Shomi Patwary-directed collaboration mid-year. For all these reasons, I can only urge you to listen to The Yutes and Masicka’s brand-new track “Get Money”! Make sure to follow them on social media as well; here are the official links:

“Bring It Back” official video and another song, “In The Kitchen,” featuring Stove God Cooks to round off the year.

In 2022, they collaborate with Masicka, one of Jamaica’s hottest new cutting-edge dancehall artists, on “Get Money,” the first song off their upcoming album “Ghetto Youths.”

The song has already been added to major island stations such as Irie-fm, SunCity, and Hitz-fm, to mention a few. With the video in circulation on Tempo and BET and gaining up speed, The Yutes have all eyes on both as their summer is just getting HOTTER!!!
