Here’s everything you need to know about the 64th Grammy Awards, including the nominees and how to watch them.

On Tuesday, November 23rd, artists, albums and songs competing for trophies at the 64th annual ceremony were announced. Since, the full list of nominations for the 64th Grammy Awards have been unveiled! In fact, some of the nominees include, Jon Batiste, Justin Bieber, H.E.R., Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Doja Cat. As well as a slew of other talented artists and groups. The 2022 Grammy Awards will take place on Monday, January 31st, 2022 from 8:00-11:30 p.m. ET. The show will broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena, formerly known Staples Center, in Los Angeles on CBS.

THE GRAMMYS GO UNDER NEW REPRESENTATION

Additionally, the ceremony will be the first since the awards instituted a significant change in its nominating process. The Recording Academy, the Grammys’ governing body, voted in late April to end the use of anonymous expert committees to narrow down the final ballot in dozens of categories. A practice that had been in place since 1989. In recent years, prominent artists such as Jay-Z, Drake, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean have criticized the Grammys. They previously cited concerns that Black artists are routinely overlooked. Especially when it comes to all-genre categories. As a matter of fact, The Weeknd announced a boycott of the Grammys in March, citing the committees.

The Grammys are in their first year under new Recording Academy President and CEO Harvey Mason jr., who has been serving in the role on an interim basis. After the resignation of former Grammy chief Deborah Dugan just days before the 2020 Grammy Awards, Mason took over. This summer, the Recording Academy and Dugan announced a settlement following a legal dispute. Now they are back and hopefully better than before! For now, take a look at the full list of nominees here.
