Slimelife Shawty has one of my favorite trajectories in music right now. As an Alamo Records signee, it is clear that he is in good hands. His newest LP, Better Living, is an impressive look into who he is growing into. The new project starts strong with a robust feature from his fellow OTF affiliate/mentor Lil Durk. Furthermore, they blend so well together that listeners have no choice but to love the melodic banger. “Suit Me Up” is a great track, but there are way more hits across the 14 track project. The Atlanta resident was also able to secure features from Future, Jackboy, and viral sensation Nardo Wick. The emotion shown in this project is so strong. Furthermore, there is no way to doubt the authenticity of the fast-rising rapper.

In the run-up to Better Living, the follow-up to last year’s No Slime Left Behind, Slime’s Alamo debut, Slimelife shared the 42 Dugg-featuring remix to “Don’t Worry (Clappers),” his biggest hit to date with over 15 million streams across platforms. Slimelife signee showed off his performance chops this summer, performing an electrifying set at Rolling LoudMiami in July. Slimelife is currently on the “Back Outside Tour” with Lil Baby and Lil Durk, performing songs from Better Living and other hits like last year’s “All Summer.”
With a knack for emotional honesty that earned him co-signs from heavy-hitters like Young Thug, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk, who gifted him an Only The Family chain, Slimelife Shawty is ready to reach the next level. With Better Living, Slime proves that he has the chops to be the next melodic rapper to explode out of the A.
