Virginia’s silent assassin Shaboozey has been killing the streaming game this past year. The multi-faceted artist averages over 1,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. His rage-worthy track with Duckwrth is a stand out from the Grammy and Golden Globe award-winning ‘Spiderman into the Spider-Verse‘ soundtrack.
Shaboozey told me “I am ready to change the narrative that you have to have a proper set up or a huge marketing and promotions budget to succeed. I had fun making something, and I wanted to share it with the world when I was ready.” The video is dedicated to Northern Virginia, the area that raised him. He challenges his fellow VA creatives to create more opportunities for each other opposed to running to NY/LA to make it big.
