Flexing his range, Pink Cig goes to new places on his fresh track, “Have You Ever Been High.” Singing against stripped-down production, Cig let the emotion pour and captured my attention from the opening chord to his last line in a way that was unexpected – as the song is very different from his previous hits, “Xanny Bars 222” and “AngelDust” – yet totally captivating. His opening line, “Have you ever been high, before, like an aeroplane”, will be playing in my head for a while to come – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
