Philly’s Youngest Star YXNG K.A Delivers Visuals For New Single: “Imagine That”

YXNG K.A, the 17-year-old artist from Philadelphia, released “Imagine That,” today. It’s a highly anticipated song from this impressive high school senior, who last year signed a record deal last year with Interscope Records and representation from Stack or Starve Records.

“Imagine That” is a hard-hitting, all-too-real story of a love triangle, accompanied by stunning visuals courtesy of director Andre “DrizzeDreads” Fisher. The video shows YXNG K.A spending time with two different girlfriends until one finds out that she is getting played.

“That was just my feelings at that moment,” the rapper said. “Just stuff that I really be going through in real life.”

Almost with the flair of a veteran, the Philly teen rides various flows throughout the song, that is peppered with unique tempos and a bright, optimistic melody. For someone who is still early in his career, it showcases a preternatural dedication and understanding of the craft.

“I wouldn’t do anything after school, I’d just go home and make sure I wrote a couple of songs every day,” he said. “Everything that was happening with me, everything that I was feeling at the time, I put it right into the songs. I don’t usually talk a lot or vent to people, so if I’m going through something I’ll just make a song about it.”

YXNG K.A is expected to release more visuals soon with RCA Records signee Lil Muk for their collaboration “UNFINISHED BUSINESS”.
