If you were to win the lottery today, would you know what to do with all that money? If you’re like the majority of people in the world then your answer is no, but don’t feel bad. Triumvirate Not.Alone has released new track “Bankbank” that expresses those exact sentiments.
Everyone wants to “run their check up” but faces the fear of blowing all of their funds. “Spending money like I never heard of NASDAQ” Nomad The Native spits on the track’s second verse. It’s clear there is a sense of carelessness with the bands.
Multi-instrumentalist Daeta, singer Marc Amour, and rapper Nomad make up the DMV Collective known as Not.Alone. The three draw inspiration from Jazz, Hip-Hop & Soul music, so they emphasize these sounds in all that they create.
With two projects under their belt, Black As The Ace Of Spades and The Black Delorean EP, Not.Alone aims to spread the message their name holds; you are not alone. They want to empower listeners through relatable stories of enduring personal struggle, managing insecurity and overcoming conflict en route to becoming great.
The group has performed all around the DMV, playing at Songbyrd Music House, Velvet Lounge, Funk Parade, and The Black Cat with their sights set on performing on many more stages. Upcoming EP Direct Deposit is slated to be released later on in the fourth quarter. For now, check out “Bankbank” below.
