New Jersey’s Hefna380 Gears Up For New EP With The Release of “I Gotta Go”

Streaming sites have given artists the freedom to release music whenever, regardless of whether they have label backing or not. Meet Tahrell Lloyd Horne, known as Hefna380, a promising rising indie artist from the Garden State.

Born in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights section, Hefna and his family relocated to Manalapan, New Jersey when he turned eight. Growing up in Jersey Hefna became an AAU star but an unfortunate ankle injury during a pick up game his senior season forced Hefna to switch his focus to music and modeling.

As a result Hefna was able to release his first single “I Gotta Go” on September 20th. Produced by J.Flex “I Gotta Go” is two minutes and 56 seconds of pure energy. Hefna380 rides over the bouncy trap beat with a rapid flow similar to Atlanta’s Playboi Carti.

In 2 months “I Gotta Go” has amassed 56.3k streams and counting which is a monumental milestone for any independent artist. Not resting on his laurels, last month Hefna dropped a new track titled “Real Rockstar” produced by NJ native Barely Brandon. As the decade is closing out, you can expect to see a few more releases and “We Can Finally Rage” a 3 track EP set to drop on December 13th. As for now enjoy “I Gotta Go” below.
