As of the past year or so, Nashville has been hot on the heels of a Hip-Hop revolution. Whether it’s Brian Brown with Journey, or Chuck Indigo‘s iNDigo Café, the country music epicenter is transforming into a bustling Hip-Hop hub. Ron Obasi is the next iteration within this metamorphosis. Dropping his latest EP Notes On A Scale II, the gifted wordsmith introduced four new introspective tracks exhibiting an array of budding talent.

“Rollin my shoulders like I’m cocky in the gym, you can talk like you Vince when your head above the rim..” – “Good Rapz II”

In addition to Obasi’s commanding performance, Notes On A Scale II features other members of Nashville’s Third Eye Collective, RyAnne, Jordan Xx, & Jxdece. The accompanying teammates of Obasi’s are able to not only compliment a deeply personal EP, but highlight the ever diverse music talent that resides in the 615.
