Micks is an R&B-rooted singer and songwriter from Richmond, VA. Her latest EP, Mickstape, illustrates the emotions felt by a young woman finding her way. Her layered vocals cover the 5 passion-filled tracks to serve as a reminder that real R&B still exists. Virginia has created some of the industry’s top song creators over the years. Artists like Pharrell, Timbaland, Missy Elliot, and more set the table for creatives like Micks to flourish.
Throughout her early years, she was influenced by many different music genres, which helped her learn from elements in each style as she developed her own unique sound. Her songs feature-rich, soft but dominant harmonies to match her smooth tone. Clocking in at just under 15 minutes, Micks’ debut EP shows versatility, promise, and determination.
