Listen: J. Cole & Dreamville Come Up Big On “Revenge of the Dreamers III”

J.Cole and Dreamville release the third installment to the Revenge of the Dreamers series.

J. Cole and his Dreamville team revealed that a new album was in the works back in January when they released an invitation to attend studio sessions in the A. The Dreamville sessions were very competitive while maintainig positive energy, which can be seen in the Revenge Documentary. In addition to the Dreamville roster, a number of high profile artists, such as Buddy, Childish Major, and Guapdad4000 were all in attendance.

The results of those sessions lead to an 18 track compilation project. Pre-released tracks like “Down Bad”, “Got Me”, “LamboTruck”, and “Costa Rica” were all featured on the album. The album starts off with a hot collab with J. Cole, Lute, and DaBaby. Kendrick Lamar wasn’t a listed feature but his voice can be heard on the hook of the first track (A possible throwaway from the rumored Cole and Kendrick project).

EARTHGANG, Young Nudy, Reason, Childish Major, Maxo Kream, Key! Zoink Gang, Buddy, Yung Baby Tate, Guapdad4000, Davionne, Mez, Lute, Baby Rose, T.I., Reese Laflare, Ski Mask The Slump God, Smokepurpp, Jace, Smino, Vince Staples, Kal, Ty Dolla $ign, Dreezy, St. Beauty, Mereba, Deante’ Hitchcock, Saba, J. Cole, Ari Lennox, Bas, Cozz, DaBaby and Omen are all featured on the project.

The sounds in the project vary from the typical hip-hop project with producers like Wondagurl, Tay Keith, No I.D., and Mike Will Made-It all lending production.
