Lil Gray and Big Flock have both been some of the most consistent, prolific, and unproblematic artists in the DMV. The pair got together for a new collaborative song and visual for “Get Sh*t Started.”
KidBeats handled the rousing production on this track and his combination of an up-tempo piano riff and trunk-rattling percussion set this track off perfectly for Flock and Gray to both skate over it with their vastly different deliveries that still work very well with each other. Gray opens the song up with his own unique flow, rapping circles around the beat. This was until Flock came on the song with his intense, low-pitched delivery. It was slower-paced than Gray’s, but still punched equally hard.
Sarafis Midas handled the video’s direction and he has been indispensable to the rise of many of Maryland and DC’s best new artists with his carefully edited videos and ability to capture the turnt-up energy at his video shoots. Earlier this year Gray dropped one of the most comprehensive and sonically diverse projects. There is a lot of heat on his 10B410 LP. Furthermore, it has been somewhat quiet since then. Luckily his fans can expect new music from Lil Gray very soon.
