Kyle Banks partners with acclaimed hip-hop group BlueBucksClan for their collaborative single, “Bogus,” out now via Red Bull Records. Rather than traffic in a pre-existing lane, Kyle Banks paves a path of his own. His music consists of twisting up R&B with laidback West Coast bounce. He has unapologetic ambition, and show-stopping vocals.
The perfect soundtrack for a late-night drive or a smoke-filled room. “Bogus” is a quintessential West Coast bop that showcases two of LA’s most exciting acts. Effortlessly volleying between Banks’ slick melodies and BlueBucksClan’s quick-witted lyricism, “Bogus” is a sleek, smooth joint set against a bouncing production with a distinctive LA sound. Truthfully, Kyle Banks is slowly becoming one of my favorite creatives to watch. His poignant visuals and clean but edgy look is a perfect balance. Interestingly enough, Red Bull Records knows how to help develop awesome talent.
The release of “Bogus” follows Kyle Banks’ debut single on Red Bull Records, “Bad Bih.” Named one of “The Best R&B Songs of the Week” by UPROXX, the track has nearly half a million streams since its release. Moreover, it has gotten love from KAZI Magazine for its “palpable charisma and slick swagger.”
