Kenny Mason Drops new Visual For “Play Ball”

Kenny Mason is not your normal rapper from Atlanta. His music is eclectic and reminiscent of early Kid Cudi. It is clear that he draws inspiration from various punk rock bands. His new single “Play Ball” would have been my favorite song on Guitar Hero back in grade school. The lyrical content is still consistent with that of many artists but sonically he is on another level. The video for Play Ball” is a grainy collection of shots featuring Kenny and his crew cruising the suburban streets of Atlanta on bikes, stirring up sentimental feelings of summertime sanguinity, juxtaposed with Kenny’s verses on the realities of coming up on his side of Atlanta. The new video follows last month’s 12-minute, one-shot-take live performance visual, Strays 02 which features back-to-back verses from his two most recent projects.

Kenny Mason is the type of artist you listen to once and wish you knew about him earlier.

Kenny Mason’s latest album, features Freddie GibbsDenzel CurryAngel White, and Ambar Lucid. His extraordinary rapping abilities will be on full display this summer when he hits the road on tour with festival dates including Rolling Loud MiamiLollapaloozaHIVE Music FestivalMusic MidtownFirefly Festival, and more.
