Jesus and Music: Meet Rapper Not Klyde From Canada

Christian Hip-Hop Artist Not Klyde is as good as they come. At only 25 years of age, this independent artist has managed to gain millions of streams, tour multiple times and have nearly 50k monthly listeners on spotify alone. Not Klyde came into the music industry hot and released his debut album in 2018 titled, “Lil Foil 39” which featured a massive track titled, “She Got Aesthetic” ft. Wande and Parris Chariz. This song would be the spark Klyde would need to scale is brand. He followed up with 2 massive hits, “Bible In My Hand” and “Ants In My Pants” which have had over 3 Million Streams collectively. At this moment everyone knew that Not Klyde was here to stay. 

Klyde’s rap name “Not Klyde” has rasied curiosity in his fan base and when asked where he got his name, he said, “It literally came from nowhere. My artist name is the equivalent of choosing an email in primary school. But, over the years I did develop a sort of mantra for it. It went: My name is not klyde, but that’s what you’ll call me. Don’t know me for me, know me for who’s called me.” Not Klyde isn’t only a rapper however, he is also a clothing brand owner (chippd-tooth) and Youth Pastor at Rock Generation Church. Not Klyde has gone on to do amazing things in his career thus far. He was apart of the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration that aired on National Television with other artists such as Lecrae, 1K Phew and nobigdyl to name a few.
