More than simply smooth vocals, J Royale blends his RnB style with hip hop undertones to create something both men and women can vibe to.
Pierre McKinney Jr was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin but moved to Memphis Tennessee at the age of 1 where he spent his life into adulthood. RnB has always been a place where he could drift away and enjoy music from 90’s greats like Usher, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz and Tevin Campbell among others. Studying their craft and songwriting abilities, Pierre began writing and recording music of his own under the stage name J Royale.
His style of meshing hip hop into his RnB tracks intrigued listeners and soon his fanbase was increasing from local audiences into international recognition. Guys could rock to his songs, and ladies could dance the night away. J Royale had something to cater to everyone and it reflected in the milestones of his career. With Spotify streams surpassing 50,000, J Royale gained entrance onto bigger stages. He joins a select few RnB artists to open up for YFN Lucci at the 15th annual Apple Chill in Rockingham, NC alongside major artists, and has also appeared one a podcast stage with DJ Lil MARK from Quality Control Music.
With accomplishments stacking, he moved to Indiana launching his record label, Royale Nation, and sister company, Fearless Entertainment as a roof for independent projects and collaborations with artists in the Midwest sharing their love and passion for RnB. Christening his record label launch, J Royale released his 2nd EP, “Nightcap Lullabies,” along with lead single “Over Me” and his Christmas single “Holiday Love,” under his imprint, Royale Nation. Both “Over Me” and “Holiday Love” have been doing amazing, running up over 50,000 and 10,000 plays respectively with “Holiday Love” attaining the achievement within just two days.
