On Look Closely, Hush Forte artistically takes listeners through a variety of his deepest thoughts and emotions aiming to lyrically be an open book. The project begins with a prelude, “Bliss Chase” which is a thematic introduction into Forte‘s evolving mind. Moreover, from there, the catchy track “Impulse Purchases” tackles a topic that Forte categorizes as hard to confront – learning and unlearning his attachment to consumerism and material things. The fan-favorite, “Frustration” is next followed by “Different Paths”. This is an exploration into fear and the lack of confidence. A feeling that a creative can experience after having a burst of confidence.
Hush Forte Sets The Tone For His Fans
The project’s narrative changes in its second half with “Thankful” highlighting Forte finding peace in having support. Moreover, finally coming into everything that he always dreamed of. The young artist revisits his confidence from the perspective of acceptance on “Promises” as he comfortably showcases his cocky side. Moreover, Hush Forte closes out his project with “Look Closely” which is a stripped-down and amped-up final thesis to take on the world around him as he applies the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful into his art.
In addition to Hush Forte‘s intentional writing skills, Look Closely is sonically engaging in a way that is very refreshing and leaves you wanting to explore the young artist more.
