Hardbody B-Eazy has been in his production bag! If you want to find someone who’s an embodiment of Baton Rouge hip-hop past and present, look no further than Hardbody B-Eazy. Hardbody has produced some of Fredo Bang’s biggest records, including “Gangsta Talk” ft. NLE Choppa, “Big Steppa” ft. Sada Baby, “No Security” ft. Kevin Gates, as well as records for underground legends like the late Ceddy Bu and NWA Spitta.
Born Jackie Lane Plant, Jr., Hardbody B-Eazy was raised in Plaquemine, the metropolitan area of Baton Rouge. Music was an early passion for Plant, with his father playing drums and many of his family being involved in the industry. However, growing up poor in Baton Rouge led both him and his father to the streets.
Hardbody became gang affiliated and said in a recent interview that he began selling drugs to make money. Fortunately, Plant Jr. realized that this wasn’t a life he wanted to live.
Hardbody B-Eazy Is Growing!
“I was selling drugs and at the time I didn’t understand the severity of it, until one day a lady tried to give up her engagement ring for a bag,” he noted. “That really changed my perspective on selling drugs and the impact it can have. So I began easing away from it, and focused solely on the music to do something more positive.”

From that point on, Hardbody B-Eazy became making a name for himself in his city with his work with Ceddy Bu and NWA Spitta — until 2016, when his ‘Hardbody Studios’ started to pick up serious attention with the rise of Miami’s Fredo Bang. Fredo and Hardbody ended up getting close through their work together, and by 2018 he became Fredo’s in-house producer and relocated to Miami to work with Fredo, and the rest was history.
Looking towards the future, Hardbody aims to go platinum with Fredo Bang and has collaborations in the works with CJ, Coi Leray, DJ Chose, and many others. On the way, he has a project called Key Playa that will be dropping this year.
“I am also working on the upcoming Murda Made Me tape with Fredo,” Hardbody said. “I’ve got some more music coming with DJ Chose. Additionally, I’ve got a collaboration tape between Fredo, JayDaYoungin, and Hitman Audio. I also have tracks coming out with CJ, Coi Leray, and Moneybagg Yo.”
