Hakeem Rowe first moved to LA and worked in the famous Melrose district before he got his start in media hosting. He was first noticed by Adam22 of No Jumper while working at the Official Hat Store on Melrose — Adam saw a funny side in Hakeem, who was fresh to LA, originally from Clarendon, Jamaica. Adam then recruited Hakeem onto the show, where he became a media host on the platform for three years. Hakeem moved to LA at 20 years old with $200 and a dream to make a career in media.
Hakeem Rowe Will Not Be Denied
From being on No Jumper, Hakeem got his start in the media world and proved himself as an interviewer. Furthermore, he has shown that he is can be so much more. It was evident that Hakeem was going to do such amazing things. Therefore, when he left No Jumper, he started working at RSVP Gallery. RSVP Gallery is owned by Virgil Abloh and Don C. This is where Hakeem worked as a content creator for the Youtube Channel. However, Hakeem was laid off due to the ongoing pandemic as RSVP Gallery temporarily closed.
But this hasn’t stopped him, and only fueled his next position. He continued his interviewing momentum with the popular Instagram platform OurGenerationMusic. His resume is dope and has seen work with some of the top musicians.
On top of that, Hakeem also produces beats as a hobby. Moreover, he currently has two-song placements that just came out on Dro Fe’s latest EP, Narco 3. Now, he’s expanding his musical skills even further by breaking into the A&R world. There he has the opportunity to prove his musical tastemaker abilities as well.
