Vayda Maryse: Congrats on your new single Rock N’ Roll. What was the theme/idea for the music video?

Scorey: Thank you, the theme was Rock N Roll because of the Rock N Roll beat. I got the inspiration from the video from the Paramore Misery Business video. I used to listen to that song a lot growing up and liked the vibe.

Vayda Maryse: How did you get into music?

Scorey: I like music; I used to listen to a lot of it growing up. The first rappers I listened to were Lil Wayne and 50 Cent. I used to mimic their style and rap like them, and that’s how I really started writing my first raps.

Vayda Maryse: Is it something you’ve always wanted to do?

Scorey: I knew that it was also something I was good at but it took me a while to know I wanted to do it, professionally. I didn’t always have the confidence to try and be a rapper. It wasn’t until 2018 that I recorded my first couple of songs.

Vayda Maryse: New project releasing sometime this year. What energy can we expect from it? Any features?

Scorey: The energy has a lot of versatility, you’ll hear a side you didn’t really hear from me when I first was coming up. There’s some more rock stuff, I got songs with a  lot of different beats but really heavy on the guitar beats. It’s a lot of changes and me growing as an artist.  No features planned as of now.

Vayda Maryse: What is the relationship between you and Polo G? How did that come about?

Scorey: Polo’s my boy, he’s a mentor to me and I’ve been watching what he does in his own career, learning what to apply to my career and what to expect coming up in this game. He reached out to me on Instagram and we started texting and building a relationship and after a couple of my video releases he signed me to his ODA/Capalot label.

Vayda Maryse: How does it feel to be working/connected with artists you use to look up to, like G Herbo?

Scorey: It really feels like a dream. On one side you got to stay professional in the moment. But, on the other side, in the back of my mind, I remember how I used to be a die-hard fan so it definitely feels like a dream come true to be able to work with and talk to them

Vayda Maryse: What artists do you hope to work with in the future?

Scorey: Not too many people, but I like Rod Wave, got some collabs with Polo and I fuck with Lil Eazzyy.

Vayda Maryse: What do you plan to do with all of your new $uccess?

Scorey: I just plan to keep going up and keep reaching new goals and use my platform to help other people around me.

Vayda Maryse: Will there be any other endeavors you will look into in the future?

Scorey: I’m definitely trying to find ways to invest and look at other businesses in the future. But, for now, the focus is on making music.

Vayda Maryse: What is your goal for the remainder of 2021?

Scorey: I’m looking forward to staying consistent, dropping music, and building my fan base. Also, finally getting back into the world since it’s opening back up. I’m hoping to go out and get more comfortable living this rap lifestyle and doing shows.
