We had an evening to sit down with hip-hop artist Fortmanny Bets and talk about his music and the way he lives daily. Here’s what Fortmanny had to say…
How do you define success as an artist?
Selling these records and making this money. I’m very driven to have my music go BIG and cash in as a big artist in the game.
Does music help you in other areas of your life?
Absolutely. Having a great day, I make it even better with the new music that I’m producing. My day not going so well, I still use my music to help lift my spirits back up.
I’m always in control when it comes to my music and it’s a major part of my life and how I operate daily.
How do you develop your music skills?
Making new beats, and being creative with my voice, the flow, the delivery. It’s a combination of things but I’m always working on getting better in different areas.
I still have a long way to go, but my music has been years in the making and I’m happy to see that the people are appreciating what I bring to the table.
Has your style changed over time?
It has evolved over time. The way I sound and deliver my sound now is very different than when I was making music 5 or 10 years ago.
I’ve been creating music for years and the sound continues to develop and grow. It’s all good though! I know we are only getting better with time, and the love from the fans really proves that.
What’s the purpose of your new EP?
To really go crazy on the new sounds.
Make something that’s got a lot of energy and is creative while also staying relatable and current.
Speaking on my struggles and the way it’s formed me as a man to become something bigger!
I know its really going to resonate with a lot of people when this music hits their soul.
When can expect the project to drop?
It’s on it’s way to you early 2023.
Can’t wait for you to hear it. I think I’m really gonna set myself apart in a lot of ways.
I’m also locking in a tour too, so when that’s announced, I know things are about to get crazy
