Flipp Dinero Stakes His Claim On ‘Table For One’

Flipp Dinero has a knack for creating hits. Moreover, after securing his latest platinum plaque for “How I Move” [feat. Lil Baby], he is back. His latest project, Table For One, is a solo EP with five tracks that prove that Flipp is one of the game’s most versatile creatives. The We The Best/Epic Records MC is comfortable in his skin. His attention to trends helps him develop new ones for people to follow. As a melodic rapper/songwriter it is no limit to where he can go musically. The Haitian-American musician has been on a wave since his breakout hit “Leave Me Alone” in 2018. His rise to acclaim has been remarkable to watch since his introduction into the industry.

Co-signs from industry titans like DJ Khaled, Cinematic Music Group’s Hovain, and Johnny Shipes do not come without next-level talent. Flipp’s talent is one thing, but his willingness to work harder than anyone means a lot too. Our conversation was a great look into his personality, grind, and upcoming plans. If this EP is a sample of what is to come next year, Flipp Dinero fans are in great hands. We at KAZI Magazine look forward to his continuous growth and impact as an artist and man.

First things first, introduce people to who Flipp Dinero is for those who do not know just yet?

Flipp Dinero: I am a kid from Brooklyn. I have been on the grind and hustling since I was a kid. Many of you might know me from my song “Leave Me Alone” or “How I Move” with Lil Baby. We here, though!

You new project ‘Table For One’ is sounding good from the records I’ve heard. What was the thought process while making it?

Flipp Dinero: Yeah, you can say a lone wolf fr. I started with many people, but success broke up a lot of those relationships. I have always been focused on myself and not worried about the various trends. The title is just showing that it is lonely at the top.

You have seen a lot of success commercial with two separate records that are at least platinum. Do you believe you have the recipe to make a radio hit?

Flipp Dinero: I would first have to thank God and my spirituality. I have conversations with God before creating my music. I tap in with my family and listen and get stories from them, but I am just really someone who loves music.

Your voice is distinct, who inspired your sound when you were coming up? Also, did your neighborhood inspire your music?

Flipp Dinero: On the come up, I was a big fan of the greats, of course. Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, KRS-One, and Max B. My hood taught me how to maneuver in the industry and beyond. I get the job done. I know how to mix, but I am about my business. It made me who I am, if you know what I mean. How people view, New York is what it is. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

The quick project is 5 records with different vibes, do you pride yourself on being versatile ?

Flipp Dinero: It is just the mindset I was in right now. I am just expressing what people are going through in the hood. Moreover, I am speaking about how I feel like a young dude on the come-up in the music. I enjoy the process the most.

If you had dinner and could only invite 5 musicians whose work you enjoy(DOA) who would those people be?

Flipp Dinero: I would be at TAO for sure. I would bring Biggie, Jadakiss, Hov, and Max B. Those conversations have to happen.

If you had to pick one song from your discography that best represents you which song would it be and why?

Flipp Dinero: I would tell them to listen to “Played My Part”. This is a tricky question. That track explains a feeling that all of us go through.

What are some goals that you have for the rest of the year?

Flipp Dinero: Some more content. More visuals. My main goal is to put out an album that all ages can appreciate. This EP is cool, but in 2022 I am trying to make a statement with the music. I want them to understand who Flipp truly is.

Lastly, you have been going in for some years now. What about this time around feels different?

Flipp Dinero: With the whole pandemic, everything changed. The energy is different, and I am looking to keep pushing the boundaries as opposed to just creating the same stuff over and over again. I am looking forward to growing more as a creative.

Flipp Dinero is no slouch. His energy is different this time around. He is rapping like he has “No Option“. It makes sense why he always keeps a hit on hand, and his fans are always pleased. 2022 is going to be huge for the Brooklyn-born MC.
