Where are you from?
- I was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY and currently reside in Central NY.
When did you start making music?
- 2009, exactly 4 years after my mom was in a near fatal car accident I had started making music to cope with my emotions and life situation.
Who inspires you the most?
- Aside from my mother and my Noni, I would say my father inspires me the most…he never knew how to be a Dad and wasn’t around for most of my growing up but he always believed in my musical talent.
What got you into making music?
- This may sound cliché and played out but Lil Wayne and Eminem (from 2000) inspired me to try making music. Back then I wasn’t as great but I have honed my skills over the past decade, so now I let my music speak for me.
Who is your favorite producer?
- My favorite producer mainstream wise has to be Nick Mira.
- My favorite independent producer is MB Beats (@1mbbeats) HANDS DOWN!
What is one of your best songs/beats?
- Personally it’s hard to choose I have a long catalog lol, I think my best song content/story/emotion wise is See You Again (Let You Go) off my album RARE.
Are you signed to a record or label?
- I actually have an LLC, ITZYOUNGJAY | A L L C R E A T I O N. So I would say I have signed myself…at least for now.
Who would you most likely collaborate with if given the opportunity?
- Selena Gomez, Lil Wayne, Tech N9ne, Clever, Post Malone, Juice WRLD & the real ones know I rock with the man SAMSON.

- Ehoff, Ace Granby & Tommy Beane.
What’s next for you?
- January 15, 2023 my new studio album “World On Fire” produced by MB Beats, AC Beats & Wyshmaster is set to test the waters for me with new music in the New Year. I also plan on filming a few music videos as well as a few live shows. I have some major news coming after the album drops so stay tuned for that!

- My most popular tracks right now on Spotify are Lose You To Love Me, Moonlight, Price To Pay, They Don’t Love You & PRAY.
What are some things you have been through in real life?
- Honestly I’ve been through too much to elaborate on that topic right now. Just know that everything I have ever experienced throughout my life all gets put into my music, my words, and my pain. Every song is a piece of the puzzle to my soul and energy.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
- My biggest accomplishment? Is being alive long enough to see 27, and hopefully soon to see my mom happy and comfortable.
