EBHONI DROPS DANCEHALL INFUSED ANTHEM “MIA”

Toronto R&B artist Ebhoni is back again with a dancehall-influenced single, MIA. The song is a nod to the pop experimenter who shares the song’s name with a cool reminder that “bad gyals do it well.”

Produced by Alex Lustig and Merna, the tracks sensual and mellow feel paired with dancehalls anthemic energy make the track infectious. MIA is Ebhoni’s first solo single of 2020, following her collaboration with Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire, on “Never Lonely” released in July.

The 20-year-old has made it a point in her career to partner with Black-owned businesses, support other women artists, and to uplift the local LGBTQ+ community. MIA is a reflection of this point, offering self-empowerment in the form of a heater of a single. Ebhoni expresses that the track is and ode to self love and she hopes that it encourages listeners to do the same.

“This song is for the bawdest of the bod who embrace and love what they mama gave them!”
