Devon The Chief Returns With ‘Caught Up’ Visuals

Devon The Chief is an independent artist blooming out of California. The 21-year-old rapper started writing music in his early years before finally releasing his first song during his senior year. “Never Broke” caught the attention of local figures and since then, he has ran with it. Devon has performed alongside established acts such as Mozzy and Nef The Pharoah these past years. Furthermore, it’s about time he stepped into the limelight.

The Central Valley-native took a two-year hiatus to focus on his craft and soldier through hard times. It wasn’t until a few months ago, he reemerged with the goal of blowing up. Today, Devon shared his newest single “Caught Up” along with the accompanying visual. Not only does it capture a part of his life, but it also features Florida talent TeeJay3k. Combined, the two make for a deadly duo in their Skii Mobb-directed video. “I hit centerfolds with syrup in my styrofoam,” he harmonizes. Check out the visuals below.

“I was a fan once I heard his “Testimony” remix. I reached out to him and we made it happen. As soon as I finished “Caught Up,” I knew he would kill it,” Devon The Chief said on the collaboration. Elsewhere he talks about the inspiration: “I was low. I felt like anytime I did good for someone, I got caught up.”
