Daygo Fatts releases the visual to his first freestyle from his 1st & 15th series, titled “Top Of It“. Fatts born “Tyler Johnson” is no newbie to the music business. He is working behind the scene in underground hip-hop for the better half of 10 years. In 2015, he and artist/entrepreneur Nyk Tyler released a joint project titled District 4, named after the 4th district of San Diego. “1st & 15th” originally stemmed from his freestyle video series Daygo Fatts would put out twice a month for his fans. He decided on the 1st and 15th of the month for the release dates of this series because these are the military paydays. This is ideal because he is a former merchant marine/civilian navy. Now he’s using these dates to “pay” his fans the free content.
Before this ‘1st & 15th’ series, Daygo has dropped 2 EPs, “Circus Circus” and “Ya Bish”, quite a few singles, most notably “Ride Away,” which was featured on stations like Shade 45, Hot 97, and featured as Twitter music ‘New Music Mondays’. He knows that his fans will be hype to hear more tunes this often. His impressive freestyles are going to be great for his brand.
