DAVID S. GRAY DROPS “LEAVE THE TRAP”

Young Jeezy, T.I., 2 Chainz, and Gucci Mane. Ironically enough, the Atlanta drug trade has spawned some of Hip-Hop’s most memorable stars. Now, meet the newest addition to the genre in trapper-turned-recording artist David S. Gray with his intriguing new song, entitled, “Leave The Trap.”

Produced by talented producer, Kyduh, the song is the emerging star’s farewell letter to the hustle that a rare few make it out of alive. Gray cleanses himself of the past with a couple of stylish, charismatic and catchy lingo-driven verses that will convince listeners of his arrival, instantly. While the song may pertain to drug dealing to Gray, for his newfound fanbase, he gives the single a universal meaning. He explains:

“The trap can be anything from working a 9 to 5, ya momma’s house, sleeping in the car, or whatever — you can eventually get out of it. Work the wrist and leave the trap. If I can do it, you can do it. Stay focused.”

“Leave The Trap” is the second single released by the rising star in 2020 following the debut, “Found Love.” And with an impressive track record and ATL Hip-Hop continuing to remain genre supremacy, Gray’s stardom is all but guaranteed. It’s only a matter of time before he and the music ascend to the chart-topping territory. He understands that hard work will turn him up. His latest work is going to put him in a position to shine soon. Atlanta is going to always be a hub with artists like David coming out.
