Cliff Holt is pushing the limits of Hip Hop

Cliff Holt is an emerging hip hop artist who is pushing the limits of what we call hip hop. With his guitar in hand, he is bringing a refreshing new sound that is grounded in musicianship. His personal bio speaks volumes about his musical journey and his inspiration.

Growing up in the South in a small city outside of Raleigh, North Carolina, Cliff was heavily influenced by gospel, 70’s soul & R&B, jazz, and the 90’s hip hop and southern rap/trap music. He started his music career as an engineer/producer and worked with different artists before deciding to release his own music and vibes to the world.

Cliff’s debut album, “Saturns Return”, which is set to release this summer, is a testimony to his vision of changing the perception of today’s hip hop and sonically taking it to places it has never been. He has directed three big-budget videos to debut himself to the world, an accomplishment that he is immensely proud of.

In an interview, Cliff shared that his biggest musical inspirations are Andre 3000 and Jimi Hendrix. Andre 3000’s way of expressing his art is what he hopes to achieve, and Jimi Hendrix’s ability to change the sound of a genre without much effort has always amazed him. Chaka Bars, a non-musical inspiration, has inspired him to travel the world, help communities in need, and educate the first world on what’s really going on. This plays into his ultimate goal of traveling the world playing music and creating sounds that heal and bring people together.

Cliff’s album will be the perfect display of his musical talent as he writes, produces, arranges, and mixes all his music before getting it mastered in Italy. He is a loyal client of the Neighborhood Watch Studios, where he records most of his music and makes sure to give credit where credit is due.
