Billboard-charting Producer LX Xander Tips On His Success

British born, Billboard-charting producer LX Xander has had a busy 2021, working in person with a host of major artists including Lil Xan, Fetty Wap, Snow Tha Product, Baby Goth, Ayleks, Icy Narco & others. Having flown back to the United Kingdom at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, LX made his triumphant return to Los Angeles in February this year and immediately hit the studio.

“Working with major artists in person is always a blessing,” he tells us. “As soon as they get on the mic, you can really hear the difference between a developing artist and a major. There’s just an ease of delivery and charisma that they have that you don’t often find in unsigned artists.”

In addition to his work in the studio, ‘dark trap god’ LX Xander also recently landed a record with emo rap juggernaut Lil Uzi Vert, with Uzi having played the track to an audience of 30,000 people on an Instagram live stream.

“The Uzi placement was a good feeling,” LX begins. “The beat is actually a collaboration with one of my own signed producers, Bell Weather. I was super happy because he’d only been signed with me for a couple of months when the placement came through – it’s a great feeling to be able to create opportunities for my Ghostcraft family. Just hoping the track ends up on Uzi’s album now – he’s notorious for taking a LONG time to drop anything.”

What other records is LX excited about…? “The stuff we did with Lil Xan is really fire as well, actually. He’s a real hook machine in the booth. We have this one unreleased record with him & Baby Goth on it together and I swear it’s an absolute radio smash.”

Also this year, Xander has begun working with industry heavyweight Max Gousse, one of the most reputable & experienced executives in the music business. Max discovered & developed recent chart-topping superstar Saweetie, worked with Beyoncè on two of her albums and formerly occupied the role of SVP of A&R at Island Def Jam. “Max is a force to be reckoned with,” LX emphasizes. “Working with him is vastly different from some of the A&Rs, executives & managers I’ve worked with before. He is concise & to the point, action oriented & incredibly powerful within the industry. Max moves mountains with his pinky finger –  unlike a lot of people in this business, who love to talk a lot but don’t ever seem to get anything done.”

“I also just signed an artist myself, VenusTheG,” LX gushes. “I’m very, very excited about her project. I don’t want to give away too much just yet but her debut single is CRAZY. I already have so much in place for her and she is such a joy to work with. I personally would describe her vocal as like an exact cross between Trippie Redd & Rihanna. You’ll see what I mean when you hear her, I promise.”
