A-Reece Brings “Morning Peace” To The Charts

Today is the day! South African rap star A-REECE drops off his most recent release titled “Morning Peace”. His new single “Morning Peace,” comes as an infectious rap sing-along. A gateway to his long awaited and highly anticipated fifth full-length album. The forthcoming project is titled, Today’s Tragedy, Tomorrow’s Memory. It is set to drop a month after the release of his lead single, “Morning Peace” on March 26th, 2021.

A-Reece Brings “Morning Peace”

A-Reece provides a completely different side to his artistry on “Morning Peace” rather than the hard-hitting lyrical abilities we are used to. He displays his effortless melodic rap flow, relatable songwriting, and knack for making captivating rap songs. His flow is accompanied by lush synths, exquisite bass guitar arrangements, and a thumping bassline.

The Inspiration

Speaking about the inspiration for ‘Morning Peace’, A-Reece says:

Morning Peace’ is about how you have your ups and downs in a relationship, and how you can get into a heated argument with your partner at any random time of the day, and it could be in the morning, when you both just woke up, so I speak on how I would rather wake up to making love to my partner, than arguing about something irrelevant. I would rather wake up feeling blessed than depressed – that was basically the whole concept behind ‘Morning Peace’, and as soon as I conceptualised that, I knew that Jay Jody was the perfect person to put on this, because him and I always have conversations about this type of stuff.”

For this record, A-Reece strips off the braggadocious exterior that most rap music hides behind, as he presents listeners with a refreshingly open and honest viewpoint. He approaches conflict in relationships, raising the issue of whether or not you would rather be caught up in a lovers quarrel over nothing, and losing all the precious time you might have with them.

Prior to this single, A-Reece kicked off 2021, strong! Already dropping off two tracks in the new year, the Mzansi rhymer is going three-for-three with his new infectious single. The previous releases were a SoundCloud freebie “Strictly For My B” along with a hard-hitting rap single titled, “The 5 Year Plan” featuring fellow 1000 Degreez member Wordz. Both of which have amassed over a million streams combined in just a few weeks.

Who is A-Reece?

Keeping up the momentum, the Award-winning rap artist and producer, A-Reece has also just been nominated for the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards! He will be up against the likes of Wizkid, Cassper Nyovest and Naira Marley for the ‘Best Fan Base’ category. A testament to his massive yet continuously growing fan base.
