What's out

Shygirl released SWALLOW!, her second album, on Friday, November 6, 2026. It follows her debut, Nymph. Apple Music lists 11 tracks running just under 35 minutes, and Bandcamp carries the same 11, with a release date of November 6, 2026.

Four of those songs were out before release day. "Alyse," "Lucky[Hymn]" and "Mantra" each came with an official video, and "Eternal" arrived on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 as the last single. The press release calls it the album's closing track and quotes a lyric from it: "And in these whispers love will go on forever, And the truth is only momentary."

The "Eternal" visualiser on her YouTube channel credits Francesco Loy Bell and Oliver Bell as directors, with executive creative direction by Shygirl and Ezra Spearpoint.

What the release says

The release says Shygirl calls SWALLOW! "a reintroduction." It says she started writing it "at a pivotal coming of age moment in her life, fresh off the back of her debut album Nymph and falling in love," and describes the album as "devotional and visceral, patient and euphoric."

Two producers get named. "During sporadic, unhurried sessions, Karma Kid made everything maximalist, while Casey MQ fine-tuned the delicate moments," the release says. Its conclusion is that "Shygirl realized she didn't need to leave her electronic roots behind to find something new."

The videos also carry a story. Per the release, the singles came with "cinematic music videos adding to the Shygirl universe," and in the "Mantra" clip a character named Saskia is "pulled into an impromptu day rave by the characters Alyse and Vega."

The tour

Shygirl takes the album on a headline world tour in spring 2027, and the release says she will be "joined by a full band, translating the album's expansive sound to the stage." Her site points to a Bandsintown listing that has the New York stop at Brooklyn Paramount on Tuesday, May 4, 2027. The tour ends with a London homecoming at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday, May 18. Dates as the release lists them:

The release also lists a set at MIRA Festival in Barcelona on November 6, 2026, a III Points Art Basel show at Hialeah Park in Miami on December 4, 2026, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, June 3 to 5, 2027.

My read

I have not heard the seven songs that arrive on release day, so this is a read on the rollout. It is a tidy one. Making the closing track the final single is a confident choice, because it hands fans the ending before the middle. Three of the four singles sit in the first eight tracks, and the run from "Luvli" to "Déjà Vu" is all new.

The credits match the pitch. Naming Karma Kid for the big moments and Casey MQ for the quiet ones tells you she built the record with two clear roles in the room. A first headline run with a full band, ending at the Royal Albert Hall, is a bigger stage than a club set, and the tour is where the "reintroduction" claim gets tested.

Verdict: A patient rollout with a story running through its videos and a full band tour behind it, so the seven new songs get a fair first hearing.
