Who made it

The label's release says the band "emerged from Southern California's vibrant underground screamo scene," and its pitch for the record is one line: She Let The World Run Rampant "brings the feeling back to deathcore." The album was produced with Drew Fulk, also known as WZRD BLD, whom the release describes as a "Grammy-nominated producer" and credits with work for Knocked Loose and Motionless in White. Buster Odeholm mixed it. The release calls the result "thirteen fiery tracks that plunge headfirst into loss, heartbreak, and the darkness we carry with us."

Vocalist Josh Bailey Guard frames the band's goal in plain terms. "I want to be able to help people with the music, not just play for them," he says in the release. "Help people have fun and get out of their heads. Because the world sucks right now, and music is a good way to get out of that."

The road to the album

Three songs came out ahead of the full record. "Last One Here" arrived June 10, the title track on September 2 and "Lacerations and the Feeling of Dying" on September 30, per the Apple Music listing. "Eyes Wide Shut" sits at track six, between "To Dematerialize the Womb" and that September single. The album opens with "Digital Drowned Decay" and closes with "The 97th Floor." The shortest entry is "Neural Plague," just over a minute long.
