Meshuggah Tour 2027: Dates, Texas Shows and Friday On-Sale for 'The Forty-Year Anomaly'
The Forty-Year Anomaly, Meshuggah's North American anniversary tour with Testament and Blood Incantation, runs Feb. 12 to May 14, 2027, and hits Texas three times in five nights: Houston on April 30, San Antonio on May 1 and Irving on May 4. General on-sale is Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. local time.
The run was announced Tuesday via Blabbermouth, and the published schedule opens in Toronto on Feb. 12 and reaches Red Rocks on April 21. Loudwire puts the band's start in 1987, so 2027 marks 40 years. Revolver calls it their "first major North American tour since their 2025 headline run with Carcass and Cannibal Corpse."

The Texas dates
Houston, Friday, April 30: Bayou Music Center. The venue's own listing has "Meshuggah: The Forty-Year Anomaly w/ Testament & Blood Incantation" on Fri Apr 30, 2027, with "Doors: 6PM Show: 7PM All Ages Welcome!" Tickets run through Ticketmaster.
San Antonio, Saturday, May 1: Boeing Center at Tech Port. The venue's event page says doors are at 6:00 pm, the show starts at 7:00 PM and the event "welcomes all ages." It also says tickets "are exclusively available through Boeing Center's website www.boeingcentertechport.com OR Boeing Center's box office," so skip the resale sites for this one.
Irving, Tuesday, May 4: The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. The Pavilion's Live Nation event page, which Toyota Music Factory links from its concerts button, lists a 7 PM show.
If you're on the Third Coast and keeping a calendar, our Eric Prydz Texas dates and Laci Kaye Booth's Houston stop are worth adding too.
Tickets and presales
The tour announcement says tickets "are on-sale this Friday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. local time, with an artist pre-sale beginning today at 10 a.m. pacific/1 p.m. eastern." That artist presale opened Tuesday, Oct. 27. A Citi cardmember presale started that day at noon Eastern, per the announcement and the Citi Entertainment page.
Blabbermouth runs its own presale on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, with the code "BMMESHUGGAH40."
For Texas, here is what the venue and Live Nation listings show:
Houston: The Bayou Music Center listing shows the Citi and artist presales from Tuesday, a Live Nation presale from Wednesday, and Blabbermouth and Knotfest presales from Thursday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. Central. Every presale closes at 10 p.m. Central Thursday. The general sale opens Friday at 10 a.m. Central.
San Antonio: The Live Nation listing shows a Citi presale and a Live Nation presale, then the general sale Friday at 10 a.m. Central. It doesn't list an artist presale for this date.
Irving: The Live Nation listing shows the Citi and artist presales, then the general sale Friday at 10 a.m. Central.
Every other city goes on sale at 10 a.m. local time Friday. The tour announcement says tickets "are available at Meshuggah.net/tour."
Every Forty-Year Anomaly date
These dates come from the announcement as printed by Blabbermouth, Loudwire and Revolver. All three lists match. Three stops are festival appearances, and the festivals haven't announced full lineups. Loudwire reports that Sonic Temple's lineup includes all three bands. Testament and Blood Incantation aren't confirmed for Welcome To Rockville or Milwaukee Metal Fest.

Why this one matters
Some background, from Blabbermouth's announcement: Meshuggah formed in Umeå, Sweden, in the late '80s. Albums like Destroy Erase Improve, Chaosphere and Nothing and songs like "Future Breed Machine," "Rational Gaze" and "Bleed" made them a reference point for heavy music. "Clockworks" got a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2018. Their 2022 album Immutable topped the U.K. Rock & Metal Albums chart and Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The lineup is Jens Kidman, Fredrik Thordendal, Tomas Haake, Mårten Hagström and Dick Lövgren.
My take: the bill is the story. Testament carry the Bay Area thrash lineage, and Blood Incantation, formed in Denver in 2011 according to Louder, are the youngest band on the bill. Three Texas stops in five nights also means Houston, San Antonio and North Texas don't have to fight over one date. If you've waited for Meshuggah to come to your city instead of driving to theirs, set the alarm for Friday. Our Flaming Lips 2027 tour rundown has more of next year's rock calendar.
Run back 'Bleed' before Friday's on-sale.
