Matt Copley Announces Act II Broadway Does Punk for November 18

What's announced
Michigan artist Matt Copley has announced Act II (Broadway Does Punk), arriving independently on November 18, 2026. Apple Music lists the same street date.
Copley said in the announcement: "A year ago this was just me screaming showtunes into my phone. I never imagined turning Broadway songs into rock & metal songs would find this many people, and I'm still kind of in disbelief this has turned into a real album. Narrowing down the tracklist was brutal because every theater kid has a favorite they'd be heartbroken to see left off. But I think we picked the ones that make the most sense torn apart and rebuilt as rock songs."
Tracklist
The announcement lists eight songs:
- All You Wanna Do (SIX)
- Burn (Hamilton)
- Wouldn't You Like (Epic: The Musical)
- Pretty Little Dead Things (Paddington)
- Losin' Streak feat. Blake Roman (Hazbin Hotel)
- Gimme Gimme Gimme (Mamma Mia!)
- Epic II (Hadestown)
- What It Sounds Like (K-Pop Demon Hunters)
Blake Roman is named as the guest on "Losin' Streak."
Live context
The album follows two sold out Broadway Does Punk performances at New York City's Abrons Arts Center in October 2026, with guests the announcement names as Samantha Pauly, Constantine Maroulis and Keaton Whittaker of Daisy Grenade, among others.
The project
Copley created and produces Broadway Does Punk as a theatrical rock concert experience. The announcement describes his background in musical theatre and rock, including national and international touring with post-hardcore band Unwell. That background connects the album's stage-song selections with the live format he has been developing.
