KNIFE Share Nightmare Video, Opening Track of Into Your Nightmare

A second single and a video
German speed metal band KNIFE released "Nightmare" and its official video on November 4, 2026. It is the second single from their third album, Into Your Nightmare, which comes out December 18, 2026, and it is the first song on the record.
KNIFE, "Nightmare" (Official Video)
The band introduced the song in the announcement with a short statement: "'Nightmare' has already been baptized by fire during the summer festivals 2026 and it has proven that the KNIFE is still risen in merciless fury. An energetic manifesto of pure speed metal. Follow us Into Your Nightmare."
What the rollout tells us
The order of the singles is the clearest signal so far. KNIFE opened the campaign on September 24 with "Shadows", the song that closes the album. "Nightmare" is the song that opens it. Two singles in, the band has shown both ends of the record and kept the eight songs in between back for release day.
The statement also points to a band leaning on its live show. By the band's own account, "Nightmare" was already in their festival sets over the summer of 2026, so some listeners heard it on stage before it had a studio version or a video.
The physical side of the rollout is broad. The preorder page lists the album on CD, cassette and two vinyl variants, one of which adds a bonus track and a poster, with shirts sold alongside.
The album
KNIFE described the new record in the announcement this way: "The KNIFE is back to give all you maniax what you need. The Chamber of Storms has opened its gates and out comes the most relentless and versatile piece of sonic steel. We are delivering the goods and you can be sure that we will continue to haunt your dreams forever. The grimness of steel is upon you! Follow us Into Your Nightmare."
The Chamber of Storms nod reaches back to their first album, which included "The Hallowed Chamber of Storms," according to their Deezer artist bio. The tracklist for Into Your Nightmare runs:
- "Nightmare"
- "Sulphur"
- "Teeth Of The Devil"
- "Sound Of The Requiem Bell"
- "Home Came The Nameless Dead"
- "Gehenna"
- "Insanity"
- "Raging Metal"
- "Gospel Of The Grotesque"
- "Shadows"
The lineup listed in the announcement is Vince Nihil on vocals, Laz Cultro on guitars, Gypsy Danger on bass and Thanatos on drums.
Where KNIFE come from
KNIFE formed in Marburg in late 2019, according to their booking agency. They put out the demo tape Black Leather Hounds in early 2020 and a second tape, Locked In, that September. Their self titled debut album followed in October 2021, then the EP Sounds of Sacrifice in 2022 and their second album, Heaven Into Dust, in August 2023. Into Your Nightmare is the first full length since then.
On the road
The band's official site points fans to tickets for the Dark Gospel Over Germany tour. The dates run from December 27 in Bitterfeld to January 23 in Dresden, with stops in Erfurt, Passau, Marburg, Übach Palenberg, Waldbronn, Essen, Cologne and Cottbus. According to the announcement, Sacred Steel and Game Over each join on part of the run, and Catbreath is also on the bill. Before that, the announcement lists KNIFE at Ferryman Metal Festival in Tübingen on November 14.
