Hologram Teen Releases Pyramid Disko Remix Album

By Cole Ashby, November 7, 2026

Hologram Teen has released Pyramid Disko (Captain Fluo Night Versions), a remix album featuring reworkings by Morcheeba, Julia Holter, YACHT and µ-Ziq. The collection arrived November 6 through Hologram Opera.

The solo project of former Stereolab keyboardist Morgane Lhote returns to the material of Captain Fluo, inviting a range of electronic artists to reshape its disco, synth-pop and French pop influences. The new album contains nine remixes and is available to stream, with a vinyl edition offered through Bandcamp.

Nine routes through Captain Fluo

The contributors approach different tracks from the original record. Morcheeba reworks "Connection transpacifique," Julia Holter takes on "Wolkman," and YACHT remixes "Pack Ur Patience." Jonny Oso opens the collection with a version of "Actarus," while Voyag3r handles "Donovan Magic Orchestra."

Sorcerer contributes a remix of "Macadam Bubblegum," Acid Washed revisits "Lust Pill!," and Demonia Disco closes the running order with "Danceteria." Together, the selections give the source material a sequence of distinct production perspectives rather than a single album-length reinterpretation.

The final single is µ-Ziq's version of "Fréquence Gaie." The release describes that remix as a stripped-back detour built around sparse, stop-start rhythms and electric guitar sounds, with silence becoming part of the arrangement.

A cinematic electronic project

Originally from Paris and now based in Los Angeles, Lhote makes colorful electronic music with a cinematic emphasis. Hologram Teen is also an anagram of her name, a detail that matches the project's interest in rearranging familiar elements into new forms.

Pyramid Disko extends that process to an entire group of collaborators. The announcement connects the album's different versions to club music, French Touch and retro-futuristic pop without reducing them to one shared sound.

A Los Angeles performance is announced for November 17 at Zebulon. For listeners elsewhere, the complete remix collection is available through the official streaming link.
