Faust Releases "Close Wasn't Close Enough," Following "90210"

Faust's run of autumn singles has a third chapter. "Close Wasn't Close Enough" arrived November 6, following "Fahrenheit" in September and "90210" in October.
The Apple Music release collects all three songs in one eight-minute package. That makes the new single both a fresh entry and a compact way into the South Bay singer-songwriter's recent work.
Faust: Close Wasn't Close Enough
Wanting more than closeness
In the announcement, Faust's team frames the song around desire that persists even when affection is not returned in equal measure. One quoted lyric puts that imbalance in plain terms: "You just make me want to fall to my knees, and look in your eyes. It's all that I need."
That is the premise supplied by the release, rather than a claim that the track resolves it. The title itself leaves the problem open: being close to someone and feeling secure in that connection are not necessarily the same thing.
A catalog taking shape
Faust's official Apple Music catalog stretches back to "Remind Me" in April 2024. "Another One," "Sign of the Times" and "hold, a minute" followed before this year's new run.
An April 2026 profile by George Pareti for FORTHEYOUTH identified him as 18 and based in El Segundo. The new release also points toward a debut project, but provides no title or release date. Until those details arrive, these singles are the public record of what he is building.
