Two voices, one decision

Singer Andrew Neufeld described the song in the announcement as a decision to leave behind accumulated stress, pain and damaging relationships. Rather than carrying that idea alone, he trades lines with LaPlante.

"It is a back and forth, 'me against you' type of lyrical narrative between Courtney and I," Neufeld said in the release. The quoted lyric "Losing you was a solid win" gives that exchange its clearest statement of intent.

The pairing is the news here: a guest appearance built into the song's point of view, not simply a name added to the credits.

Inside Chosen Hell

Will Putney produced, mixed and mastered Chosen Hell at Graphic Nature Audio in New Jersey, according to the announcement. The eleven-track album also includes a guest appearance by Incendiary's Brendan Garrone. Australian artist Callum Preston built the structure pictured on its cover.

The album is available on Apple Music. Comeback Kid's announced U.S. dates begin November 7 at Flyover Fest in Oklahoma City and continue through the West. The band's official site carries venue and ticket information.
