AURORA has entered another fantasy world. The Norwegian singer and composer Bear McCreary released "Morning Shall Come" on November 6, bringing a new vocal collaboration to the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

According to the announcement from Capitol Records, McCreary and AURORA wrote the song, with lyrics credited to McCreary and series showrunner J.D. Payne. Its place in the series is tied to Galadriel and Celeborn, portrayed by Morfydd Clark and Jamie Campbell Bower.

A Tolkien connection, then a full soundtrack

"I've loved the Tolkien universe since I read his books as a child," AURORA said in the release. That personal connection gives the collaboration a history beyond a soundtrack commission. She also described working with McCreary and the production team as an adventure.

The single arrives a week before the complete season soundtrack, which is scheduled for November 13. The announced 22-track digital edition opens with "Morning Shall Come" and includes contributions from The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices, Mieskuoro Huutajat and Meshuggah's Jens Kidman, as well as performances by cast members Sophia Nomvete and Clark.

The rollout is not finished with the audio. Capitol says a performance video will premiere on Amazon Music on November 9 before reaching AURORA's YouTube channel. An expanded digital collector's edition of the soundtrack is also planned, though the announcement does not give it a date.

For now, the single is the first stop, not the full soundtrack.
