Sacramento’s Yelly Delivers “Bedroom Freestyle”

Last year was an undeniably great year for R&B and with newcomers like Yelly, it’s about to get even better. Not too long ago, the 18-year-old artistry dropped off her carefully-curated project titled Don’t Drown. The 5-track effort laminated her as a top tier songstress with standout cuts like “Concrete” and “Broken.” Moreover, Yelly dropped off several loosies including “Feel The Same” with MarMar Oso. The video garnered nearly 100K views on YouTube since its release back in November. This past week, she shared her brand new visuals for “Bedroom Freestyle.”

It marks Yelly’s first single of the year and takes place in a forest. The live video performance is directed by Zero, who’s worked with a number of creatives in California. “Bedroom Freestyle” serves as a follow-up to the Sacramento-native’s “Ain’t You” music video. Check it out below.

“Baby don’t leave me, baby, don’t tease me / Showing me love and then tell me you’re leaving,” she opens. Elsewhere, Yelly sings “I don’t want nobody else for the ride / Baby, what’s up with the pride? Loving in a disguise.” If the teenage artist continues to drop music like this, she’ll definitely be on every R&B radar soon.
