Rather than next, Harlem’s own Young Pwavy shows he’s got now on his newest single titled, “Fantasy”. Following the release of his track “Level Up”, “Fantasy” marks Young Pwavy’s ninth initial release which will also serve as the lead single from his upcoming EP, Fantasy in November. Produced by singer-songwriter, Louyah, the track incorporates experimental drum kits, bass-driven production, and nonchalant flows assisted by falsetto vocals.
Directed by SubAltern’s Kevin Borris, the music video for “Fantasy” features red-lit projections and fast-paced camera angles of Young Pwavy addressing those who look to see his downfall. Instead of showing care, “Fantasy” embodies the phrase mind over matter with his confidence rather than cockiness approach.
“When I’m wearing these diamonds / I feel like I just came from mining
I’m cozy I’m changing the climate / The competition stay behind me“
Regarding what to expect from Young Pwavy, his upcoming single titled, “Go” will be released Sept 18th. For more updates and news related to Young Pwavy be sure to follow him on Instagram and Twitter: @youngpwavy. Be sure to check out the full video for “Fantasy” below and stream on all platforms.
